Apprentice/Second Shooter

Tyler Hott Photography:

It all started when…

I began watching my father shoot over the many years he’s done photoshoots. I started asking my dad if we can take pictures together and was immediately fascinated with how cameras work. I asked my dad questions for years and started studying photography at the Mitchel Park library on the weekends. While some children are reading Dog Man, I’m deep into photojournalism books.

I have been a second shoot for many of my dads photoshoots and love getting to know new people. My favorite thing about shooting photos with families is the surprised face they make when they see the photos I take. I may be young, but my eye for photography is developing each day I pick up my camera.

My camera of choice is the Canon 6D Mark II

My favorite lens is the Canon 50mm 1.2

I’m also exploring monochromatic polaroids and manipulating light with double exposures.
